
With profound sadness the family announces the passing of Donald Lamb (Chops) at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto on Saturday, January 10, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer and stroke, at age 66. Devoted husband and soulmate of Dolores. Dearly loved father of Kevin (Sue), Diana (Rick), Stacey and Kelly (deceased). Deeply mourned by his sister Joan Witkus and brother Murph (Elizabeth). Fondly remembered by Kay Rutkowski and his many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother and father, Laverne and Cecil Lamb and sister Agnes Callahan of Florida. Leaving behind many dear friends and family, especially Paul and Judy Foran and goddaughter Christina, sister-in-law Colleen Barker (stu), Heather, Anne, Margaret, Jean and Buck Scott and family, Lloyd and Joy Tomlinson and all his childhood buddies in Chicago. The famiy is forever grateful to the staff at Sunnybrook Hospital for the outstanding care shown to Don during these difficult days, especially the nurses on C2 and Critical Care Unit, and in particular to our family doctor Dr. Ross Upshur who treated us with such unwavering care and compassion. Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at 10:30 am at St. Margaret Queen of Scotland Church (222 Ridley Blvd.). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
