Donna Maureen Healey

April 9, 1953 – October 31, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Maureen Healey (nee Deir) of Richmond Hill. Donna passed away unexpectedly at Southlake Regional Health Centre on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at the age of 71. Donna is survived by her beloved children Kyle Healey of Toronto and Jenna Healey (Andrew Willson) of Kingston, their father John Healey of Mississauga, and her dear granddaughter Ada Willson. She is also survived by her sisters Darlene Deir (Dick Zufelt) and Debbie Lefave (Stephen) of Brockville, brother Dale Deir (Johnna Dailey) of Athens, and her nieces and nephews Jamie Van Hoek, Logan Deir, and Brittany and Brianne Lefave.

Donna is predeceased by her parents Hubert and Maureen (Minnie) Deir of Athens, as well her brothers Darwin, Doug, Derrick (Rick) and Shawn Deir.

Donna will forever be remembered as a loving mother, granny, sister, and aunt. She was a caring and generous person who always went out of her way to make her family feel special. Donna received her BASc from the University of Guelph and teaching certification from the University of Toronto, and for many years she worked as a teacher in the Greater Toronto Area. She was also an enthusiastic sports fan who enjoyed cheering on her favourite team, the Toronto Blue Jays.

A private celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
