

Donna passed away peacefully while sleeping at Sunnybrook Hospital in the early hours of Tuesday, July 12, 2022 with her family close to her side holding her hands. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses who took care of her and kept her comfortable.
Donna, 73, was born in Toronto on May 17, 1949. She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years (Arthur), her two children Kevin (Eve) Lacey, Kimberly (Michael) Piper, and her five beautiful grandchildren (Mariana, Victoria and Christopher Lacey, Madison and Hayden Piper). Loving Aunt to Paul Johnston and Jennifer Benbow. She also leaves behind her loving sister Bonnie Johnston.
Donna had many amazing and memorable adventures going on trips with her family and friends. Her most fond activity was enjoying happy hour with the wonderful neighbours “The Romfield Gang”. She cherished every moment with her grandchildren. They always lit up her heart and put a smile on her face. Those that had the pleasure to know Donna knew that she was the life of any party and she thoroughly enjoyed every moment of life right up until the end. Her final words for all her friends and family were, “I love you all so much.”
The family would like you to join them at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home (8088 Yonge St, Thornhill) on Friday, July 15, 2022 for a visitation from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service and reception to follow.
