Dorothy Gordon

It is with profound sadness that we say goodbye to Dorothy Joan Gordon (nee Seymour) who passed away quietly from this earth on Friday April 11, 2014 at the Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket. Predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Tom and her brother Leslie Taylor of Gore Bay. Dorothy was the devoted mother of Tom, Gary, Rob and daughter in law Gillian, the doting grandmother of Katherine, Gretchen and Andrew and adoptive grandmother of Katie, Allison and their children. She was the cherishing great-grandmother to Liam, Eloise and Mason. Her large extended family including the Burleys, Seymours, Gordons, Taylors, Smiths and Mills knew her love, generosity and kindness had no bounds, and she will be missed by all. She will be resting at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles) Visitation on April 14, 2014 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the R. S. Kane Chapel. Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens in a private ceremony at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
