
Passed away at age 81, February 9, 2004. He was surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his wife Jane to whom he was married for 55 years, his children Liz, Peter and Mary, their partners Hans and Ronnie, his grandchildren Christopher and Katie, his sister Marcia and her children Hugh, Mark, Louise, Stephen, Dean and David.
Ted served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War - No. 143 Wing 438 Squadron. He started training November 1942 and spent two years in Europe as ground crew servicing Hawker Typhoons. This was an experience that he carried with him always. Ted taught and later specialized in English as a Second Language with the Toronto Board of Education. His career spanned 32 years.
Ted was passionate about his family and charities. During his retirement, Ted and his wife Jane volunteered for Meals on Wheels, Out of the Cold and the Church of the Annunciation. He will be remembered for his warmth, compassion and incredible generosity.
Memorial Service to be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 14 at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Visitation from 10 am unitl time of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ted's memory to his favourite charities.
