The family sadly announces the passing of Lee at Baycrest Hospital, who after a short illness, having lived a healthy and wonderful life, died peacefully at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Hank Irwin. Devoted mother of Cathy Lee Irwin Jacobs (Olympian and World figure skater) and her husband Bruce Jacobs. Revered grandmother (Grandma Lee) of Jeffrey and Jordan Jacobs. Loving sister of June Bedrosian and the late Kathleen Smith Jones.
A gracious woman of dignity, respect and great integrity, characterized by kindness, love and independence.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd from 6-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 4th at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Toronto Humane Society would be appreciated.
