Elfreda Myers

Elfreda Myers, a brave, devoted, inspirational, kind-hearted, hard-working woman, was born in Jamaica on June 28, 1938, and passed away on March 9, 2026, at the age of 87. Elfreda resided in Toronto, Ontario, and will be remembered with deep respect and enduring love by all who knew her.

Elfreda will be lovingly remembered as “Aunt Kitty” She was the beloved wife of Gilbert for over 15 years, and a cherished mother to Otencia. Elfreda was a proud grandmother to Anthony, Junior, and Jodian, and a treasured great-grandmother to Immanuel, Akiva, Jeriah, and Acacio. Elfreda was also a beloved auntie to Gloria.

Elfreda found joy in the simple and meaningful comforts of daily life. She loved to cook and bake, and she enjoyed word searches, crochet, and reading her Bible. A devoted and avid churchgoer, Elfreda held singing, praying, and scripture close to her heart, and these passions reflected the strength of her faith and the warmth of her spirit.

Elfreda was a member of the Toronto West Seventh Day Adventist Church and took part in the church’s seniors group, where her presence and fellowship were valued and appreciated.

Visitation will be held at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, 8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill, ON, L4J1W3, Canada, on March 26, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 pm.

Burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery, 7241 Jane St, Vaughan, ON, L4K 1A7, Canada, on March 26, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
