Three weeks after celebrating her 101st birthday, the kind-hearted leader of the Finkle family left us, tired of winter, to join her late husband, Ralph, under a poolside umbrella with a cool drink. Born and married in the Belleville area but a long-time resident of Thornhill, Ferne was the loving mother of Ralph Jr. (Josiane) and Carl (Dianne), a towering figure for her grandson Derek (Julie) and proud great-grandmother (“GG”) to Charlie. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Hollandview Trail in Aurora for their loving care in recent years and to the palliative care staff at Southlake Hospital for their kindness in her final days. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 9:30am until time of Funeral Service at 10:30am at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, 8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill.
