Went to be with the Lord on July 7, 2012 to join her loving husband of over 60 years Adam James Davidson. Devoted Mom of Rosemary and David Hughes, Heather, Peter and Denis, and Edie and Johnnie Lake. Loving Zee Zee / Grandma to Sean Hughes, Candice and Morgan, Geoff Hughes and John, Brigitte and Frank Costantini, Jessica Armendariz and Candice Lake, and Great Zee Zee to Emily Costantini. Cherished sister of Ralph Tippin and his wife Barb and sister-in-law of Bruce Davidson and his wife Margaret. Survived by her loving extended family of nephews, niece, grand-nephews and grand-nieces and dear friends that were never far from her thoughts. While working at York University Mom took courses on her lunch hour and eventually retired becoming a full time student. She graduated in 1980 with an honours B.A. in English and History (her passion). In appreciation of the care Mom received at St. John's Rehab Centre, she became a volunteer and enjoyed the company of the Sisters of St. John the Divine and truly enjoyed meeting and encouraging the patients. The beauty of the residents and village of King City, Ontario always held a special place in Mom and Dad's hearts as did their friends in Tucson, Arizona. Special thanks to Mom's friends, the caregivers and medical staff of Thompson House Nursing Home, the emergency medical staff at Scarborough Grace Hospital, cardiovascular medical staff at Sunnybrook Hospital, and the incredible staff at St. John's Rehab. As an avid citizen of the world Mom loved meeting people, loving her family and learning. Friends may call at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Monday July 9 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Cremation to follow. If desired, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. "Hallelujah! She has risen; she's risen indeed, Hallelujah!"
