Fred died peacefully in his home after a lengthy illness. Fred was a quiet, gentle, caring man, a retired Aeronautical Engineer who dearly loved his family and his home. His three family stalwarts, Don (Betty) his brother, Janice Woodley his loving daughter-in-law and his step-son Jim Curtis ensured Fred's wishes to be cared for by an amazing team of caregivers in his own home. Married to the late Mary Gagnon, father of the late Douglas Power, the apple of his Father's eye, Fred also cared for his ailing second wife Marie Curtis for many years and loved her children Jim and Bonnie as his own. Fred enjoyed the many celebrations of the next generation: Tegan Power, his granddaughter, his nieces and nephews, Patrick (Maricon) (Lauren, Jake Power), Ann-Marie and Denise Power (Ben) (Abigail, Aidan de Bray) and Ryan and Kylie (White), his step-grandchildren. Thank you also to Dr. Goodbaum and Dr. Kirshen, Family and Palliative care physicians, respectively who attended at all hours to meet Fred's needs.
