I have conducted many funeral services with Darcy at the organ at Kane's Funeral Chapel even about two weeks before his death. I always enjoyed working with him and his passing will leave a very large gap at Kane's as well as in his church and most of all his loving family. Blessings to you all. Rev Vivian Yarwood

Dear Members of D'Arcy's Family, I am the Vice President Academic at George Brown College and previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Community Services and Health Sciences. Though I never met D'Arcy, I feel I know him through the myriad of stories I have heard about him over the years. He was much admired for his leadership, his intelligence, his music and the many contributions he made to the development of George Brown. Many people spoke of him this week with great fondness and gratitude for his work at GBC. Be assured that as you grieve his too early death and celebrate his remarkable life, there are many of us here at George Brown who join with you in the grieving and the celebrating.

Dear Linda and Family, We were so sad to learn of D'Arcy's passing. We both have fond memories of him-as Mel's classmate (DDS'6T5)and as a leader and educator at George Brown College. May his many accomplishments and contributions in so many arenas of life be a source of strength and comfort to you. Our deepest sympathy and sincere condolences.

Dear Atkins Family, I am deeply saddened by the news of Dr. Atkins' passing. I have greatly enjoyed the hospitality and friendship the family has shown me over the years. Dear Linda and Family, I was very saddened to hear of D'Arcy s passing. I used to cantor at St.Bonaventure s and St.Gabriel s a few years back with him. I still have wonderful memories of those days. He used to give me such a hard time,but I wouldn't trade those days for anything. Our loss is Heavens gain in so many ways. I have recently lost my Dad and D'Arcy sent some incredible words of consolation and hope.I am eternally grateful to D'Arcy for the love he showed me.I have been and will continue to pray for you and your family. To Michael and the Atkins family; With many fond memories of earlier in life experiences at Kilcoo Camp in Haliburton I offer my sincere condolences to all. As co-ordinator of the Kilcoo alumni group I will be sure to pass on this sad news in our next newsletter to many Kilcooites from the 40's, 50's and 60's who will want to know. Michael, I would love to reconnect. It has been too long.

We met when we were able to enjoy D'Arcy's delightful personality but are very sorry that we did not get an opportunity to hear his music. I'm sure he put as much enjoyment into his music as he did in life. We are blessed to have gotten to know him.

Actually, I have many "Dary" stories. Here is one: The first time I took my future husband, Bob, to meet D'Arcy, Linda and the kids was at the Green Lake cottage. D'Arcy had spent the morning composing a rollicking little ditty entitled "Crazy Aunt Judith" in an attempt to warn him off. He rehearsed his little choir of three but when the time came to perform, they wisely refused. He was, however, tickled that the name has stuck. CAJ

To all of the Atkins' family, I am so sad to hear about D'Arcy. Another wonderful man has gone from our lives but he will never be forgotton. I hope you can take some comfort in the many amazing memories you all created together. I have been thinking back to all those times at Green Lake,and the fun-filled days in Henry Farms and the main image that comes to mind is D'Arcy's laughter and love of life, especially when he was giving me a hard time!
