-(Retired Veteran of 38 years with the Metropolitan Toronto Police Force and a Merchant Navy Veteran).-Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at the age of 80 years, at North York General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor Sands. Loving father of Scott, Janice and her husband Barry Walchuk. Dear grandfather of Bryan and Michael (Walchuk). George will be sadly missed by many wonderful friends and family. Friends may call at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Sunday) on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, May 17, 2004 at 1 pm.
