

Surrounded by his family, he peacefully left this world, leaving a legacy of love, loyalty, and faith. Giovanni was preceded in death by his loving wife of 39 years, Maria Rainone (née Di Marco) his parents, Alfonso and Angela Rainone and his sister, Giuseppina Savignano (née Rainone). He is survived by his sister, Maria LaRocca and brother, Leonardo Rainone.
Giovanni's passing is a great loss to his children Angela and her husband Walter, Alfonso and his wife Jacqueline, Elvira and her husband Christopher, who will cherish his memory forever. His grandchildren, Joseph, Maria, Jonathan, Magnus, Isabella, and Brady, who adored him, will miss his love and warmth. Giovanni's loyal companion and dance partner, Providenza Graziano, extended family, and countless good friends will also miss him dearly. Giovanni's courage and profound faith will forever inspire all those who knew and loved him. His memory will live forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at Kane-Jerrett Thornhill Funeral Home (8088 Yonge Street) on Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday, May 1, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at St. Paschal Baylon Church (92 Steeles Ave. W.) at 9:30 a.m. Entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum.
