

Gloria passed peacefully on Tuesday evening with her beloved family at her side after a courageous battle with cancer. Gloria spent her final day the way she lived her life, surrounded by family and friends, celebrating and reminiscing.
Gloria will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Jim and her precious children, Jimmy (Nancy), Mike (Kathy) and Teresa (Jackie). Gloria will be missed by her grandchildren, Melissa, Johnathon, Stephanie, Taylor, Ryan, Ben, and Mackenzie, her great grandchildren Jennifer, Kaiden, Colton, Emily, and Jessica as well as her great-great grandson Christopher.
Gloria, predeceased by her parents Frank and Margaret Hurworth and will be fondly missed by her close knit sisters Gail (Henry) Widomski, Marlene (Terry) Lyons and Mary (Cory) Vanderwal, as well as her many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Gloria, a long-time resident of Thornhill was actively involved in slo-pitch, bowling and the Thornhill Senior’s Club. Her zest for life was contagious regardless of the activity. Gloria, who was a shining star, was readily available to share a story, a laugh or lend an ear when needed. Many memories were made with Gloria.
A Celebration of Gloria’s life will be held on Saturday October 21, 2017 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Cummer Avenue United Church, 53 Cummer Ave, North York.
