Peacefully at Mackenzie Health Centre, Richmond Hill on Tuesday August 20, 2013, in her 94th year, from post hip fracture complications. Born in England in 1919, Mary emigrated to Sarnia in 1953, and was predeceased by her loving husbands Robert Blake (1983) and Jack Carson (2007) both of Sarnia, and by her elder sister Ida Spicer. Mary will be long loved and remembered by her daughter Pat Burton (Ray) of Thornhill, brother John in Wales, grandson Craig (Jayne) of Scottsdale, Az., granddaughter Janet Sturgeon (Sean) of Aurora, great grandchildren Liam and Lilly, step-son Paul Carson, step-daughters Penny Carson, Pat Carson Rye, step-granddaughter Meaghan Rye and numerous nieces and nephews in the U.K. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Her Life will be held at the Glynwood Residence in Thornhill on Tuesday September 10 at 2:30 p.m. If desired, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
