(Bob)-Peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Woodstock General Hospital at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Margaret(1949) and Katherine(2004). Loving father of James(Janine) and cherished grandfather to Graham(Kate) and Lesley (John). Predeceased by his parents James C. and Margaret (Nisbet) Hill. Loving uncle of John(Janice), Bill(Michele), Kathy(Greg), Mark, Marie(Larry), Patricia(Bob), Bill(Catherine), Catherine(Doug) and Faye. Bob was an avid golfer, being a longstanding member of Meadowbrook Golf and Country Club. With the exception of a 4 year stint in the Canadian Artillery during WWII, Bob was a life long resident of Willowdale.
Friends may call on Thursday, September 17, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Cremation. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the CNIB and Arthritis Society.
