Helen Marie Matheson

Helen Marie Matheson passed peacefully on May 11, 2020 with family by her side at Bluewater Health hospital in Sarnia, Ontario. She is survived by her children, Catherine Kihle (Ole), Lynn Landry (Ron), Christopher Matheson, her grandchildren, Martin Kihle (Laura) and, Kristin Bond (Jeff), Christine Schwark (Adam), Greg and Megan Landry and great grandchildren Olsen and Henry Kihle and Weston and Wyatt Schwark. She is also survived by her brother Philip McCabe (Mimi). Helen is pre-deceased by her husband Hugh, son Michael and sister Virginia Ingoldsby and rejoins them in eternal life.

Helen will be remembered as a loving mother who was devoted to family, her commitment to her faith, and will be remembered for her love of learning, classical music and opera and her great generosity to both family and charities.

The family would like to express deep appreciation to the staff at Bluewater Heath Hospital ER and ICU and to the staff at Landmark Retirement Village for their compassionate and outstanding care.

Prayer and Funeral services will take place at R. S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St., at noon, Thursday, May 14, 2020. As an expression of sympathy the family asks you to consider a donation in Helen’s memory to the Canadian Red Cross. Condolences can be left at the R.S. Kane Website.
