Jack Mason

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, February 18, 2008 at York Central Hospital, Richmond Hill, Ontario. Cherished husband of Ruth, son-in-law of Myrna Shinder, and brother-in-law of Andy and the late Sandra. Beloved brother of James and Rosalind (Lolly), brother-in-law of Alice, Rosie and Nellie. Predeceased by his brothers, George, Frank, Collin, Wilson, Tommy, Ernest and Dennis, sisters-in-law, Hilda and Nancy and brother-in-law Stan. Loving uncle of many nieces, nephews and their families.

Jack was a devoted family physician, practicing in North York for many years. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, patients, colleagues and especially his beloved dog Spike. He was well known for his zest for life, his love of music, especially Jazz, and his terrific sense of humor.

Friends may call on Friday, February 22, 2008 from 7 - 9p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 11:00am at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church (39 Green Lane, Thornhill). Private Cremation.
