Born with a strong will to live, he left this world two days shy of his 92nd birthday. Predeceased by his lovely wife Margaret. Forever loved and treasured by his daughter Tricia and his special son-in-law Attila Soti. Survived by his thoughtful sister Helen (Neil) Murray, his caring brothers Bill (Isobel) and Alan (Sylvia), and his favourite cousin Mary (Smail) Hill. Jimmy will never be forgotten by all his nieces, nephews, family and friends in Canada and in Scotland. Also sadly missed by Stephen, Michele, Alexandra, Jaxson, Carolyn, Matthew, and Andrew. Jim retired from the Royal Air Force, where he was awarded the British Empire Medal by the Queen, before immigrating to Canada, where he became a Systems Analyst for TD Bank. Friends may celebrate his life on his birthday, Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 6-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. As an expression of sympathy, flowers are welcome or donations may be made to Sick Kids Hospital.
