James Alexander Munro White

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Alexander Munro (Sandy) White on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto. In his 85th year, Sandy fought a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Woodstock, Ontario and raised in Niagara Falls and Toronto. After serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force in World War I I, Sandy received his Degree in Engineering from University of Toronto. He was employed at Ontario Hydro for 35 years. Beloved husband to Sheila. Devoted father to Deborah (Doug), Gordon, Graham(Tessa), Donald and Heather. Cherished granddad to Andrew, Kate and Jonathan. Sandy had many loyal friends who have been a constant source of support and encouragement. Sandy will be sadly missed by his many friends and relatives. Many thanks to the staff at the hospital for the special care to Sandy. Friends may call on Thursday, July 24, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Cremation.
