Peacefully passed away after a long stay in hospital, on Tuesday July 8, 2008 at Mount Sinai Hospital, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Helen Jean Thomson (2008). Loving father of Don and his wife Wendy. Cherished "Grampa" to Lesley and Jeff. Dear uncle to Neil (Judi), Rod (Sharon), John (Stephanie) and Sandra and great-uncle to Doug, Kyle, Matthew and Kelly.
Jim was a member of various clubs in the Newtonbrook area including: Bridge, Bowling and the North York Historical Society and volunteered at St. John's Rehab and Cummer Lodge.
Private family funeral service to be held. Interment, Westminster Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Toronto Humane Society.
