Janet Mills

(nee Hurrell)-It is with great sorrow and sadness that the Mills family announce the sudden passing of Janet at home in Markham on Saturday, February 21st, 2004 in her 57th year. Janet was born in Cambridge, England, the second child of Ethel and Charles Hurrell. She married Brian Mills on May 25th, 1968. Brian and Janet began their journey together by moving to Canada later that same year. During their time in Calgary, Brian and Janet were blessed with two beautiful Children; Jason and Clara. Brian, Janet, Jason and Clara were a very tight knit family. Over the next 20 years the Mills family grew very fond of Western Canada and have many beautiful memories of these times. The family chose to relocate to Toronto in 1988. Over the past sixteen years, Brian and Janet witnessed their children graduating University and moving on with their own lives. In May of 2002, Clara married Jeffery Ezer and just last year, Jason wed Jennifer Drover. God knows she will be sorely missed. Janet was a wife, friend, lover, daughter and mother. God does take the very best. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, February 25, 2004 from 6 to 9 pm at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). The service will be on Thursday, February 26, 2004 at 12:00 pm at St. John's York Mills Anglican Church 19 Don Ridge Drive (Yonge and York Mills).
