Born on February 2, 1981, Janine was lovingly raised by her adoptive parents, Patricia and the late Christopher Hallgren, who gave her a joyful and supportive home. Her childhood was filled with warmth, laughter, and the kind of steady love that shaped her into the kind, caring person she became.
Janine will be remembered for her bright spirit, thoughtful nature, and the quiet strength she carried through life… she was a fighter, who tackled many obstacles with determination and positivity.
In her last years, Janine lived with a sense of great peace, surrounded by family and the deep knowledge that she was truly loved.
She is survived by her mother Patricia Hallgren, her brothers Max Heinrichs (wife Marita Claver) and Casey Heinrichs (girlfriend Sophia), and her beloved nieces and nephews: Victoria, Marko, Brooklyn, and Lincoln. She is predeceased by her father, Christopher Hallgren, who now welcomes her with open arms.
In her passing, Janine gave the ultimate gift — the gift of life. Through the Trillium Gift of Life Network, she saved the lives of two individuals by donating both of her kidneys. Her final act of generosity is a lasting legacy of hope and compassion.
To honour Janine’s memory, her family asks that donations be made to the Trillium Gift of Life Network, so that her spirit of giving may live on.
Janine’s kindness, humility, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her light continues to shine in the lives she touched.
Forever remembered. Deeply loved.
Always missed.
Visitation for Janine will be held on Saturday, July 27th, 2025 at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes - Thornhill from 1pm-3pm. A celebration of Life will follow at 3pm.
