Peacefully on Sunday, February, 25, 2007 at her home in her 81st year with her loving husband Roy, of 60 years, by her side. Mother of Jack, Jerry, and Jeffrey. Baba of daughters-in-law Carol and Iris and her grandchildren Christine, John, Mary, Daniel, and Anna. Predeceased by her sisters Violet and Lily. Her beautiful life was reflected by her home and spectacular backyard garden, in which she welcomed everyone. Although her body betrayed her in the end, her spirit never did and the example of her life for everyone was to never give up and always persevere. Friends may call on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Chapel. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Salvation Army - North York Temple.
