At North York General Hospital on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in his 87th year, following a brief illness. Beloved husband of Marie and proud father of Stephen (Adrienne), Elaine (Cameron) and Joyce (deceased). Loving "Bubba" of Austin and Lauren. Brother of Mary and Bill (deceased). John will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. John was a CPA and had a long and successful career at the Ontario Provincial Audit Office. He volunteered his time and financial skills to numerous organizations, including the Sparrow Lake Association, Oriole York Mills United Church and Kiwanis Club. He loved to travel and was a keen follower of current events. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21st from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, May 22nd from 12 noon until time of Funeral Service in the chapel at 1 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). Interment York Cemetery.
