Dr. JJ. will always be in my heart. Even though we didn't always see eye to eye, he was always there for me unconditionally. He always believed in me, often times more than I believed in myself. He encouraged me to achieve goals that I never would have thought possible, but he always had faith in me. He will be dearly missed. Sonny, although we have never met, I feel I know you through the many stories that your father shared about you. The pride and joy that you brought to his life, was evident by the way his face would light up, whenever he talked about you. It is with great sadness that I accept John's sudden passing. Having first met John 19 years ago when we both worked in Simcoe County, I will always remember him for his generous spirit and gentle nature. He was always available to share a story and over the last several years to brag about his son, Sonny's achievement. He was so proud of his son's accomplishments. As his neighbour at our offices in the Tannery, I will miss him for our spontaneous chats in the hall or in the office or the occassional lunch. My heart reaches out to Helen, Sonny and John's father to ease your loss.

I was very saddened to hear of John's passing. I had the pleasure of working with him for 15 years at the Simcoe County School Board. John always made time to listen and put the well being of children first and foremost. My condolences to his family.

It was a great pleasure to have known John Johnston for the past three years as a colleague in his office in Newmarket. I grew quickly to like and admire him, and was deeply saddened to hear of his illness and passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this very difficult time.

I want to say thank you to John for the many years I have known him as an associate under his supervision. Although John and I would often talk about our clients and their issues it is important for me to add that the VAST majority of time John would talk and I would listen....I listened endlessly as he shared story after story about the love joy and pride he feels for his son Sonny and I have been told that numerous others were deeply touched by Johns intense adoration of Sonny.I am so sad for your loss Helen and Sonny , and I wish you peace as you work through your grief.I would like to stay connected to you over the years to come and am here for you in any way you may need Fondly Deborah
