

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Katherina Titus on Friday, April 3 2026. She is remembered as a person of generous compassion, quiet dignity, and devotion to her friends and family. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1930 her family faced the hardships of the depression years and returned to Europe only to face new challenges during the war years. She eventually returned to Toronto and reunited with her family when they followed her a year later.
She married her loving husband Harry and was busy raising her three children, volunteering in school activities and doing charitable work with the Canadian Diabetes Association.
After a family move to Ottawa, she made many friends at Ogilvy’s who became travel buddies, and life-long friends even after her return to Toronto.
Predeceased by her parents, John and Anna Schuessler, and sister Nancy Berenblum and her husband Harry Titus. Upon the sudden death of her husband , she devoted her life to her family. She is survived by her children, Diane (Zeev), Harry (Bev), and Sandra, and will always be lovingly remembered as “the best Oma” by her two grandchildren, Ethan and Megan. Spending time with her family during holidays, road trips, and special occasions gave her profound joy.
A private family service will be held gravesite in Ottawa.
