Mr. Kenneth Lawrence Reynolds

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lorne on Wednesday April 8, 2020. He was the cherished husband to his devoted wife Mary of 61 years. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Elizabeth (William), son Kenneth (Lee-Ann) and his favorite Grandchild Katelyn. He is pre-deceased by his father and mother, Daniel and Ethel Reynolds, his four brothers and their wives; Gerald (Agnes), Jack (Muriel), Victor (Lorraine) and Don (Teresa). He leaves behind many nieces and nephews and their families. He was a Chartered Life Underwriter with Standard Life Assurance Company for many years. Lorne spent his life in devotion to God. He was very involved in his church St. Edward the Confessor and served as a Eucharist minister, Usher and ran the liturgical committee for many years. He also was a lector at St. Stephen’s parish in downtown Toronto where he would dash in for a quick daily mass at lunchtime while at work. He had a strong faith in God which enabled him to accept whatever happened in LIFE without complaint and he did.

Lorne spent a lot of his spare time in help of others; he belonged to the Optimist Club where he helped young children. He was also a resource Fire Ranger with the Forestry Association and later in life belonged to the Knights of Columbus. Lorne’s one true passion was music. He could play multiply instruments (by ear) but his favorite was the fiddle. This was his pastime of choice and whether it was a jam session with friends or family or in later life entertaining Seniors at different Old age homes with his band “The forget me nots”, it was always front and center.

When he wasn’t working you would always find him travelling throughout Canada or with Mary at Rainbow Lake. He would much rather spend his days at his cottage (Kelorey lodge) then travelling the world. Many family gatherings and reunions took place their over the years with sing songs, corn roasts and his special “Silhouette show” in the Camp Inn. He will be greatly missed by all.
