

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news on the passing of Leo Joseph Horgan, who passed away on March 23, 2025 at the age of 94. Leo was born on March 16, 1931 to Philip and Nora (Donahue) Horgan in Toronto.
Leo was a devoted and loving husband to Alice (nee Sawych) for 40 wonderful years (deceased March 29, 1991). A very loved father to their four children, Barry (deceased 1996), Diane, Jill and Karen.
Leo graduated from high school in 1950 and began his 40-year career with Prudential Insurance Company. He started in the photocopy room and worked his way up to become an Underwriter. Leo was known for his infectious laugh, sparkling blue eyes and his love of sweets. He filled everyone’s lives with so much joy and cherished memories. He was such a loving, strong and caring man who was admired by all who met him. If you asked Leo what was important in life, he would say “Family is everything.”
Leo is survived by and will forever be missed by his sister Geraldine (Barry) Butler. His three daughters Diane (Ven) Andersen, Jill (Roger) Cranston, and Karen (Frank) Racioppo. His eight grandchildren who called him Pappy will miss his silly jokes and stories, Keven, Lenny, Lidia, Andrew, Darren, Dennis, Cory, and Stephanie. His nine great-grandchildren Zoey, Lucas, Austen, Addison, Kian, Nicholas, James, Brooklyn, and Anya
Leo will always be admired and remembered by his family who thought the world of him.
