Leroy will be remembered as a loving husband and father who was devoted to family and loved every moment he spent with them. He was a loyal friend, and was committed to his church. Leroy was a dedicated educator and fierce advocate for children especially those who were challenged. Leroy was also an avid reader who took pride in learning other languages such as French, Spanish and Latin. His hobbies included jogging-walking, tennis, chess, sketching and painting. He was a reserved Dapper Dan who enjoyed quiet moments and appreciated the simple things in life.
The family would like to express deep thanks and appreciation for the care that the staff provided for him during the 5 years he spent at Cummer Lodge. They are also grateful to their family and friends who lovingly supported them during their time of caregiving to Leroy.
Visitation and Funeral services will be held at Lansing United Church - 49 Bogert Avenue in North York, Ontario
