Lillian Eileen Lake

70, North York, Ontario. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lillian Lake on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at St. Michael's Hospital after a short illness. Born March 22, 1945 in Truro, Nova Scotia. Daughter of the late Ivie and Lillian Lena Rorison (nee Dawson). Survived by her husband of 48 years, Donald Arthur Lake. She is survived by her two children Gwyneth Ivy Lake and Steven Douglas Lake (Leslie), and grandchildren Lauren Isabella and Ryan Charles Lake. Lillian was the youngest of nine children and is survived by brothers Jim, William and Bob, and sister Sandra. She was predeceased by her sisters Helen and Shirley, and brothers Ritchie and Don. Lillian was a long time employee of the Bank of Montreal (33 years). She enjoyed traveling, playing euchre and golf. She will be greatly missed by Ivie, the family cat, who will miss giving her his daily massage. The family would like to thank all the PD nurses and her doctors at St. Mike's for the great care they gave her. Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles), on Wednesday, May 13 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A funeral service celebrating Lillian's life will take place at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home on Thursday, May 14 at 11am, followed by a reception for all friends and family. Private family interment will take place at York Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Lillian may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
