Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. Lino will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, and best friend Julie, of over 50 years; and daughters Norma (Rob), Nadia (Craig), and Maria (Kevin). Cherished by his '9 blessings' (grandchildren); Caroline, Jonathan, Natalie, Andrew, James, Garrett, Sean, Neil, and Michael. He will be missed by his sisters Amelia and Olimpia; predeceased by his brothers Carlo, Enrico, and Padre Giovanni. The family is also very grateful for the ongoing support from extended family, friends, and caregivers. A special thank you to Doctor David Cheah for his excellent care. Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 24, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). A funeral mass will be held on Thursday September 25, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church, 39 Green Lane, in Thornhill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
