

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear sister Marg. With family at her side, Marg passed away on Mar.27, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Sherbrooke, Que. on Oct.2,1932, the eldest child of Alex and Marguerite Philip. Marg grew up in Windsor, Que and attended Stanstead College and then graduated from McGill Universtiy with a B.A.
After graduating, Marg became assistant warden at McGill's RVC. Following a brief stint at Shawinigan Power/HydroQuebec she found her true calling as a teacher with special emphasis in French during her years in Toronto.
In retirement, Marg devoted her time to her Village Voices choral group, was a dedicated volunteer at York Central Hospital and enjoyed tutoring new Canadians.
Marg will be dearly missed by her 5 siblings; John(Pamela), Alex(Judy), Liz(Wayne)Burroughs, Kay(Doug) Holt and Patty. Along with her 12 nieces and nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews. We love you Margie and will miss you very much.
Visitation will be Friday, April 1st, 2-4 and 7-9 at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street. Private family funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Volunteer Assn. of York Central Hospital, 10 Trench St., Richmond Hill L4C 4Z3 would be appreciated.
