I met Margaret in the 90's when I joined the Village Voices. Both of us volunteered to serve on the Board, and in other capacities. I was impressed by the commitment, energy & love of music she brought to the choir. I was anticipating her annual call & visit for her tax return. My condolences to all. We have lost a special friend.

I was very sorry to read in the Globe and Mail that Marg had died. Although I now live in Nova Scotia and hadn't seen her for many years, we had been in Royal Vicotria College as undergraduates together and later, when she was Assistant Warden, I reported to her as a mere "resident assistant" for two years while I completed some further course work at McGill. What I remember most about Marg was her intellect and integrity. She was a kind and thoughtful person and it is sad to think she has been taken from her family because of cancer. Margaret and I taught in the same school for many, many years. I will always remember her as a dedicated, caring and most excellent teacher. She was a wonderfully gracious and elegant lady who's life enriched the lives of the hundreds of students, colleagues and friends in her circle. My condolences to all who will miss her.

Your Margaret and I were great McGill friends and I knew all of you as youngsters when I came to stay at your home at the Pulp and Paper factory had lost touch with her and was sad to hear for Joan Allen Cleather that she is gone. I am sadden to learn of Margaret's death. She was a caring ,thoughtful and dignified human being. I remember with delight singing with Margaret and the Village Voice's Choir .
