(nee Perry)-Passed away peacefully on May 10, 2009 at Carefree Lodge at the age of 89. Loving wife of the Late Gordon and loving mother of Marilyn(James Mason),the late Beverley Sutherland, Barbara(Edward Canavan), Donna(Michael Fehrenbach), Gordon(Barbara), Kimberley(Michael Todd). Much loved grandmother of thirteen and greatgrandmother of Sixteen. The family would like to thank the staff at Carefree Lodge for their wonderful treatment of Irene over the past five years. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
