Peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on April 5, 2009 at the age of 83. Predeceased by her loving husband Michele (2007). Beloved mother of Joseph (Cheryle), Marianne (Tony) De Rosa, Connie (Glen) Clark, and Lilly (Bruce) Holmes. Nonna to Paolo, Corinne, Christopher, Lisa Marie, Debra, Michael, Andrew, Marc, Erin, and Gillian. Bisnonna to Leo, Morgan, Riley, Isabella, and Siena. Remembered by her family in Sicily. Maria was extremley generous and loving, and will be greatly missed. Friends may call on Monday, April 6 and Tuesday April 7, 2009 from 7 - 9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at St. Edward the Confessor R. C. Church(75 Churchill Avenue). Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
