Mary Lorna Constance Russell

Passed away peacefully on September 16, 2012 at the age of 87. Born in Florence, Cape Breton, Connie was the beloved wife of the late John (Sean) Russell and loving mother of Jim, Ann, Sean, and Patrick. Survived by sister Yvonne Lambert (nee LeBlanc) and sister-in-laws Madge and Maura Russell and Anne LeBlanc. Pre-decesed by siblings Marguerite (Richard) Pearl, Francis Leblanc, Russell LeBlanc and Harold LeBlanc; and brothers- and sisters-in-law Kitty and Peter Quinlan, Bishop Michael Russell, Brother Philip Russell, Paddy Russell, Nicholas and Peg Russell, Tom and Noreen Russell, Josie and Mark Carrol, Conor Russell, Mary Russell and James Russell. Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews across Canada and in Ireland. Connie will be lovingly remembered by all those whose lives were touched by her kindness, compassion and humour especially her best friend from kindergarten Irene MacMillan (Waterford, Nova Scotia). The family extends their deep appreciation to the wonderful staff and nursing care at Amica at the Balmoral Club and Connie's Personal Support Workers for their heartfelt care.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 10am at Blessed Trinity Church, 3220 Bayview Ave. (North of Finch Ave.) Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
