Following a courageous battle with cancer, passed away on June 16, 2008, at Princess Margaret Hospital in his 35th year. Beloved son of Sandy McGowan and Patrick Hinton. Devoted brother of Lesley and Sean (Julie). Loving uncle to Connor and Liam. Proud grandson to Milton Francis Hinton. Matthew is also survived by a large extended family and many friends who will carry his spirit in their hearts. Matthew lived life his way, whether traveling the world, renovating his home or being quick to offer a helping hand. A celebration of Matthew's life with family and friends will be held at Alderwood United Church, 44 Delma Dr., Toronto, on Sunday, June 22, at 3 p.m. There will be an opportunity to meet with the family after the service. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Trails Youth Initiatives would be appreciated.
