Passed away peacefully on August 2nd, 2013 at North York General Hospital after a short battle with cancer. A Dietician by profession, she worked in several hospitals in Ontario and Montreal over the course of her career, including Sunnybrook Medical Centre. Upon retirement, she and her husband, Derek Turner-Davis (who died in 2012) moved to Nerja, Spain for 17 wonderful years of travel and sunshine before returning to Toronto in 2004. Her wit and sense of style will be remembered by many for years to come. She is survived by her daughter Stephanie (and husband Joe Anderton) of Bolton. Maxine is being cremated and a celebration of her life will take place on September 7th at Jack Astor's at 5051 Yonge Street, North York between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. If so desired, donations can be made to Toronto Animal Services (call 416-338-7387, option 2 and ask for Romina) or the charity of your choice in her memory.
