Michael Harrington

HARRINGTON, Michael Charles-Unexpectedly, but peacefully following a brief illness at St. Joseph's Hospital in Toronto, on January 31st, 2003. Mike Harrington, in his 60th year, was a loving companion to Lidia Sywanyk and the beloved husband of the late Jacqlyn Harrington. He will be sadly missed by his children Jennifer Matesic and her husband Nick, Heather Brown and her husband Patrick, David and his companion Jennifer Hamilton, and Ross. Grampa will be fondly remembered by Samantha, Kayla, Joey, Katelyn, Sarah and Alexander. He is survived by his sister Ruth Pye and her husband Roger, and was always 'Mikey' to niece Caroline Vila and nephew Darrell Pye. The family will like to thank Dr. Meyer and the nurses who attended Michael at St. Joseph's ICU for their professional and compassionate care. Also, the family especially thanks Rev. Todd McDonald and Donna Martin for their support and compassion during Michael's final hours. A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday February 8th, 2003 at Thornhill United Church, 25 Elgin St. Thornhill. The family will receive visitors before and after the service. If desired, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Hospital-ICU, or to Scouts Canada.
