I met and became friends with Anna more than 20 years ago. It just breaks my heart to learn of her passing. There are so many funny,fun, happy times that can quickly come to mind with you think of her, so many great things to remember about her and being with her, just where can you begin to voice them. I am hard pressed to remember a time I ever saw her without a smile. Anna could brighten the most cloudy of days so effortlessly. The world is certainly at a great loss. It is with such a heavy heart and greatest of sadness I say farewell to my friend. Anna may no longer be here on earth, I feel cheated by that but she will remain in my heart.

I first met Anna and Kay the day after her admission to our Mother and Baby unit, Anna made me laugh from the moment I met her and Kay was such a supportive husband. A week later I got to meet Calla and Victoria who are absolutely beautiful just like there mother. I had the absolute pleasure and honor to take care of Anna and get to know the family in the short time we had. My coworkers and I agree that Anna was different and a patient that we will never forget. My heart still breaks for her and her family. The one thing I do know is that Kay will take excellent care of their girls. Your family will continue to be in my prayers and I will never forget Anna as she has a special place in my heart.

I met and worked with Anna at ECI. She was a wonderful girl with such a happy and cheerful disposition, always ready with a smile. A light has gone out here but a huge fire has started somewhere else. Until we meet again...

I worked with Anna at two separate companies and kept in touch with her for years as part of a group who met for dinner to keep up to date with each others lives.  We were so happy when she met Kay and she was thrilled to keep us updated with photos of Calla and her family.  She was such a wonderful Mom and a tremendous person, and I feel great sadness when I think Victoria will not have a chance to know her.

It is with deep regret that I heard the passing away of Anna. I wish to use this medium to extend my sincere sympathy to her beloved husband and family. I have known Anna for over 10 years, having first met at Halifax Insurance. I have found her to be one of the warmest and caring individuals that I have ever met. She has her way of making her co workers laugh that often times we were caught by our boss Lynne, talking, laughing and even crying!!! Anna, THOUGH ABSENT YOU ARE VERY NEAR, STILL LOVED, STILL MISSED, AND VERY DEAR! Mama Beth

I worked with Anna Shin at the old "ING" company and I am sure that everyone who knew her remembers Anna to be a girl that always had a smile on her face. It didn't matter if she was having a bad day or a good day, she always had that smile. She was full of life, she was kind and loving, she was happy and most of all she made everyone around her happy. Anna, I know that you are up in the heavens above looking down on us with that "smile" on your face and I want you to know that I am proud to be able to say that I was your friend.I love you so much and will miss you a lot. I know that your children will grow up constantly hearing stories about what a WONDERFUL individual their mom was and I know for sure that they will grow up to be as beautiful and loving as their mom was.. It is with sadness that I write this note to Kay and the rest of Anna's family. I met Anna and Kay and their two lovely daughters at the time of their admission to hospital and was priviledged to come to know them over the course of Anna's illness. I admired the grace and strength with which they approached this challenge and applauded their fortitude in dealing with the speed of the illness. Anna had a lovely, strong, warm personality and a wonderful sense of humour. Kay, your loss will be felt by many. My sympathies and prayers are with you, your daughters and all of your family.
