Nick passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on July 29, 2025, at Etobicoke General Hospital. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Aleli, his children Lara (Mark Oulahen) and Natasha (Sasha Tolstoy), and his cherished grandchildren Ava, Jack, and Ellie Oulahen.
Nick has gone to rest with his parents Andrew and Ann Diak, step-father Myron Prodanyk, and sister Lois Mostow. A devoted father, his greatest joy was spending time with his family, guiding them with love and wisdom. Through life’s challenges, his deep faith in God gave him strength and shaped the way he cared for those he loved.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Hemophilia Ontario for their compassionate care and support throughout Nick’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support their important work.
This will be a celebration of Nick's life, faith, and homegoing—black attire is not necessary; feel free to wear colours.
