Passed away peacefully on August 23, 2009 at York Central Long Term Care at the age of 80. Loving husband of Tilly and loving mother of Carol and her husband Frank Muir and Alan and his wife Lynn. Loving Grandad of Stacey, Charles, Lindsie, Mitchell, Lily and Baba. Will be sadly missed by brothers and sisters Joyce(Denis), Judy(Tony), Fred(Cathy), Chris(Brian) and sister in law Renee Pritchard and predeceased by Iris and Bruce. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Cremation. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation.
