Ron left us unexpectedly on December 31, 2025, in a tragic accident near Brockville, Ontario. He was driving with his “lovely wife”, Ann Marie, to look at stone houses and dream about their future together. He always said, “Looking forward is the best part.”
Ron is lovingly remembered by Ann Marie; his daughter, Marie; son, Jack; their partners, Cameron and Elizabeth; and his siblings John, Cathey, and Sandy.
He will be deeply missed by his work family, past and present, who brought purpose and drive to his life. He was amazing at identifying people’s strengths and accomplishments, celebrating them to the fullest.
Ron grew up in Willowdale, Toronto, and lived most of his life in Markham, where he and Ann Marie restored a historic farmhouse into a beautiful home. With a passion for heritage, Ron served as chair of the Heritage Markham Committee for two years. He loved old cars and motorcycles, walking fast and far, listening to records, and reminiscing about the disco days, when he and Ann Marie met.
Ron was truthful, dependable, and fearless. He was a force. Ronnie, we will miss you so much.
Funeral service to be held at a later date.
