Rose Giancola

Passed away peacefully into the loving arms of the Lord, at home surrounded by the love of her family, friends, and caregivers and reunited with her beloved granddaughter Natalie. Rose is the cherished wife of Chester, devoted mother of Joanne (Alex), Mary (Rick), Tony (Lisa), Josie (Sam), Gina (Tony), and Anita (Derek), beloved Nonna of Daniela, Stephen, Christopher, Sabrina, Claudia, Sylvia, Daniel, Mark, David, Lisa, Matteo, Laura, and Rokyo. She will be fondly remembered and missed by her brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. Heartfelt appreciation to our extended family and friends for their tireless love and support. Our deepest gratitude to her dedicated PSWs Olga and Monica, palliative care nurse Qin, palliative care physician Dr. Chin Chung and family physician Dr. Elizabeth Tham. Rose was an inspiration to all of us - her strength of character, love of family, and unwavering faith made us the people we are today. Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Thursday, May 24 from 3-5 and 7-9pm. Funeral mass at St. Paschal Baylon, 92 Steeles Ave. W. on Friday, May 25 at 10:30am. Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Hospital for Sick Children or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
