

(Marie Antoinette Freida) died peacefully at St. Joseph's Residence, 2 O' Connor Drive, Toronto, Ontario on April 25, 2015, in the 69th year of her religious life. She is predeceased by her parents, Leopold Bouchard and Adelia Poulin, and by her sisters: Lorina, Edna, Yvonne, Evelyn and Sister Mary Alban Bouchard CSJ.
She will be sadly missed by her brothers, Ben and Francis Bouchard, and by her many nieces and nephews, colleagues, friends, and her Sisters in Community. Sister Marie entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Toronto, on September 8,1946 and was given the religious name of Sister Mary Leo. Following her Novitiate she became a teacher and taught for many years both in Ontario and in British Columbia. Sister Marie was charismatic and gifted with many talents which she used widely in a variety of ministries. She was engaged in social work in Vancouver at Seton Villa, and the Agape Street Ministry, in the Knights of Columbus Residence, as well as at Resurrection House in Toronto. She was in Administration at St. Joseph's Residence, Winnipeg, and worked as a Pastoral Counsellor at Bountyfull House in Vancouver. Sister Marie was an excellent Retreat Director and graced many parishes with her presence in Pastoral Ministry in Ontario and throughout the province of British Columbia. In recent years she has been engaged in prayer ministry for the dear neighbour and the needs of the world. Visitation will take place at St. Joseph's Residence, 2 O'Connor Drive, Toronto, Ontario, April 27, from 3:30 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on April 28, at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel at 2 O' Connor Drive, Toronto, ON. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery
