Steve Hantzakos

Steve Hantzakos passed away peacefully at Langstaff Square Care Community on February 18, 2026 in his 89th year. Loving husband of the late Christina Hantzakos. Dear father of Voula (and her husband Pat) and Peter (and his wife Susie). Cherished Pappou of Emilia, Christina, Christina, Stephen, and Dean. He is preceded in death by his sister Panayiota, and brothers Panayioti, Konstantino, Kiriako and Christo. He will be missed by his brother, Petros (Amalia), and his many nieces and nephews.

Steve was a successful restauranteur and former owner/proprietor of Bentley's Seafood and Pickfair Seafood Restaurants. You would leave the restaurant and say, “that was the best fish and chips I’ve ever eaten!”

Steve was happiest touring Greece with his wife and family, having coffee at Mr. Donut with his nephew Kosta in Sparti, and seeing his friends gather together from all over the world in Greece each summer. When he wasn’t in Greece, you would find Steve at Country Style or Centerpoint Mall having coffee with his relatives and friends or reading his favourite newspapers in the comfort of his home. If you were lucky when you saw him, you'd receive a Werther's Original candy in your hand.

He loved going to Greece every summer, spending time with friends and relatives, and most importantly, the love of his life, Christina.

He will be deeply missed by everyone.
