Sybil Quinn

Passed away peacefully at Humber River hospital in her 93rd year. Sybil was the beloved wife of the late Tommy Quinn and a special mother to Margaret Anne (and Doug Clark) of Welland, Reg and Donna of Toronto, Mike and Gail of Grimsby and Steve and Joanne of Toronto. She leaves 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Sybil was born in Ottawa and once married, moved from Noble to Memphis to Welland and eventually spent her final years in Toronto. She was a fiery Irishwoman, a dedicated Habs fan, a crossword fiend and for anyone that knew her, never one not to get in the last word. GQ (Grama Quinn) will be sorrowfully missed. A special thank you goes out to Veronica and the wonderful staff for the great care given at Leisureworld Norfinch - Sybil's "home away from home" for the past seven years. Friends may call on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church (39 Green Lane), Thornhill. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
