After a three and a half year battle with cancer, Bill died on Saturday afternoon, June 11 on the Feast of St. Barnabas in his home surrounded by his family and friends.
He will be dearly missed by wife Lisa Maloney (nee Tedesco) and his children Cathy, David and Andrew. He is survived by his sisters Brigid (Bill) Priestner, Pat (Gerry) McAvoy, sister-in-law Marion and his brothers Colum (Kay), Gerry (Nora), Conrad (Lynda), and Dan. He is predeceased by his parents Sarah and James, and brothers Jim and John. He will also be missed by The Tedesco family, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge St, at Goulding south of Steeles) on Tuesday June 14 from 2 -4 and 6 - 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic Church (3220 Bayview Ave). Interment to follow in Barrie at St. Mary's Cemetery on Thursday.
