Loving partner of Joan in work and play. Loving father of Tohmm (Geraldine), John (Guylaine), David (Beth). Caring step-father of Caroline Laroche (David), Lawrence Flaherty, and Kathryn Flaherty. And grandfather of Jamie (Alison), Cedric, Danny, Keiron, Valerie, Michelle and Amanda.

Loved life and lived it to the fullest. Bill was a successful lawyer and was appointed Queen's Council. After a short time with the Tory law firm, in 1951 he started the law firm of Cobban, Woolley and Dale.

He spent many happy hours at both Toronto Golf Club and Rosedale Golf Club achieving six aces and winning many trophies.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles), with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Prostate Cancer Canada.
