Passed away peacefully July 13, 2014 surrounded by family. He was born February 11, 1927 in St. John's, NL, and at the age of 18 moved to Toronto, where he met his wife of 43 years Anne (predeceased 1994). William raised three successful sons and several foster children, retired at age 65 and, following the passing of his beloved wife, moved to the Barrie area, where he enjoyed his remaining years. He is survived by children Bill, Guy, Gary and spouses Brenda, Cathy and Julie and deeply missed by grandchildren Alexis, Samantha, Heather, Nicole, Jessica and Nathaniel, great- grandchildren Spencer and Sophia, as well as his good friend Rita. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Sunday, July 20th at Bluffers Park Restaurant, 7 Brimley Road South, Scarborough, at 1 p.m. or Thursday, July 24th at R. S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street, North York, at 6 p.m. -
